America is killing it at the Olympics
It’s been hard to watch Olympic alpine skiing this year. It never seems to be on. Instead, it’s like NBC broadcasts curling and ice dancing on a continuous loop. Then, when you actually do catch an alpine event, it’s not shown live, taking away from the excitement.
Here is one solution: get TiVo.
No money? check out www.fromsport.org and watch the Olympics you want LIVE. Awesome.
Now that we have that cleared up,we can celebrate the American alpine skiers who are absolutely crushing it this year!

Bode Miller - 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze medal
Bode keeps it real and crushes it on all levels all the time. Some people were hating on him a few years ago. For what? For not being squeaky-clean?
When Bode split from the US team a couple of years ago he raced renegade and hired his good buddy to drive him around Europe in an RV so he could make it to all the World Cup races. That’s American. And that friend had NEVER LEFT NEW HAMPSHIRE before, the state where the two are from. In that sense, Bode really does live free, just like the state’s motto says.
Now Bode is back on the team and has won our country 3 Olympic medals, one of each type. Gold in super combined, Silver in super-G and Bronze in downhill.
How ’bout them apples?

Julia Mancuso, center, is our kinda girl

She has two silver medals.
Why does Lindsay Vonn get all the coverage hype when clearly Julia Mancuso knows how to party 100x harder AND skis just as hard, if not harder, than Vonn? Hey, they are on the same team, I know. And they are friends. But Julia is our kinda girl: a real deal skier who throws down. She’s got 2 silver medals. 1 silver in downhill, 1 silver in super combined.Way to go Julia!

She rips, but America's Best Woman Skier Ever? Psssshhaw.

Kinda hot, though.
Vonn has 1 Gold medal in Downhill and 1 Bronze in super-G. That’s great, good job. We hope you inspire more girls to ski. It is very important in this male dominated sport that there are female skiers on TV, winning.
We love every last woman who skis. It’s so important! If girls stop skiing, the sport will die.

Andrew Weibrecht. Bronze medal in super-G. Not so sure about this guy.
Andrew Weibrecht won bronze in super-G. However, a Google image search did not reveal any party photos of him. This makes us suspicious of his skiing ability. We’re not sure if he’s really “with it.” Maybe he’s new.
