We had a huge weekend! Powder Awards, Cold Smoke

awardsSalomon put on an incredible showing on Thursday at SIA at the Ricketson Theater in Denver Center for Performing Arts. Our partnership with Salomon has been unbelievable and we really appreciate everything Jean Yves Couput and Jenny Naftulin have done supporting SWIFT.SILENT.DEEP. And their forward thinking vision.

bennyOn to Aspen for a Friday night that rocked at the Wheeler Opera House. The best part about it was the next day when a ski patroller at Aspen Highlands hiked up Highlands Bowl behind me with a SWIFT.SILENT.DEEP. hat on. Pumped. Saturday couldn’t have gone any better as SWIFT.SILENT.DEEP. took home Best Editing and Best Documentary awards at the Powder Video Awards in Aspen, while simultaneously winning the Best Soul Award at the Cold Smoke Awards in Bozeman!

redcarpetIt has been an amazing experience to see how many people are pumped on the story we were lucky enough to tell. We couldn’t have done it without the filmmakers that came before us; Warren Miller, Roger Brown, Dick Barrymore, Teton Gravity Research, the incredible archival footage from Howard Henderson and Rick Hunt and the amazing photography of Wade McKoy and Bob Woodall of Focus Producitons. Our Executive Producers Craig Atkins, John Paul Beeghly, and Rick Armstrong deserve an extra special thanks for helping us make this film a reality. It wouldn’t exist without the idea that Benny Wilson hatched, the culture that the Jackson Hole Air Force has created and all of the ski patrollers who keep us safe. Huge props to Troy Beauchamp for his devotion to the project and the infinite support of many others including Cloudveil, Salomon, Teton Village Sports and Powder Magazine.

Thank you everyone for making this a reality!
JK
